PS: NO, THE BLOG IS NOT ENDING.
Right, so, when we talk about entitlement in the fandom, this is a stellar example.
Dear fandom people who don’t know this yet, no one owes you anything. For any reason. Artists do not owe you their hard work, their time, their attention*. Animators do not owe you animations for you to consume. Plushie makers do not owe you work that you consider affordable.
You do not act like a spoiled, entitled brat because someone else does not have the time cater to your needs and desires. Popularity is not some binding contract that requires you to then give something back because someone took .259 seconds to hit the follow button on your blog.
Artists, blog-runners, plushie makers and animators, please never feel pressured by your fans into making content. Unless your fans are directly paying for your content, you don’t owe anyone anything.
*This star exists for the single reason of commissions. If you have paid someone to make art/something for you, then yes, they are required to carry through and finish that work, or refund you. This is the only exception.
Damn nature you scary
Still love this
"I’m a big reptile, no one fucks with me."
"I’m a big mammal, I fuck with everything."

When I saw the Barrel being shamed yesterday I thought of this.
Also this christens my first sketchbook in like years. Been exclusively digital for the past 4 or 5 years.
Better less grainy version coming soon
I’ve received a lot of letters from artists asking to check out their artwork and their blog, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them openly write unhealthy amounts of negative comments about their artwork, it was super depressing, honestly. :(
Confidence plays a very very important role as an artist, it’s what helps us learn and grow without the constant feeling of doubt and jealousy! You are a unique individual who must go down your own unique path, and as scary as it sounds, you can’t rely on others to hold your hand all the way through. You are the only one who can get yourself to where you need to go, and beating up your artwork is not the way! Trust yourself and your abilities to make a change, and you can do anything!!
Love your art, love yourself!
All of this^^^
